The Gavagai Team has planned some changes to Models and Projects in Explorer to make them simpler to use and maintain. The changes are currently under development and we expect to be available to all users in the next few weeks (tentatively by the end of March).
The highlights of these changes include the following.
Quick and easy restoration for your projects
Introducing versioning.
Every change you make to your project’s topics and groups will be saved and can be tracked.
And if you for some reason don’t like a particular change you have made to a project, you can roll back to a previous version.
Enhanced flexibility for you and your team
Users often create multiple models from the same project to track the different changes made to the project over time. These models are cumbersome to share & maintain, so we are now adding the ability to have multiple versions of your model, all accessible in one place.
With this new feature, every time you create a new version of a model from a project, it is automatically available to whomever the original model was shared with.
Save time by keeping your projects in sync
Dynamic models are very useful when you have more than one project that needs to have the same topics and groups.
With this new update, we will repurpose the concept of a dynamic model and instead, every project will be able to receive updates from a model.
This means that you will be able to configure your projects to receive updates if their linked model gets a new version. That way, your projects are always up to date with your latest changes.
We will migrate all projects using dynamic models to benefit from this new functionality.
Of course, all of these new features will be available via our API as well.
