SAP is a German multinational company that claims to be a market leader in enterprise application software. The company makes enterprise software for business operations and customer relations. SAP was founded in 1972 and today they have customers in over 180 countries and more than 99 000 employees.
We wanted to learn more about how the employees experience the global company SAP. To analyze this, we took 9 212 reviews about SAP posted on Glassdoor and ran them through Gavagai Explorer.

The topics “managers” and “leadership” seems to have a negative impact on the grade. While leadership is decreasing in occurrence over time, managers have been talked about quite constantly during the last years.
“Flexibility” seems to have a positive impact on the grade and it has been talked about more frequently over time. Employees that talk about this topic often mention the working hours and the possibility to work from home.

Reviewers who mention “HR” seems to give a lower grade than the average of all topics: 3,44 / 5 compared to 3,97 / 5. However, it is only mentioned in 3 % of the reviews.
The topic “lunch” is often mentioned together with “free”. The average grade for this topic is 3,99 / 5, which is just slightly higher than the average of all topics (3,97).
What can we tell from this?
One of the things employees really seem to appreciate with SAP is the flexible working conditions that allow people to work from home. This topic has increased in occurrence over time, which is an indicator that the topic is becoming more important for employees.
Reviewers who mention the managers and the leadership appears to be more negative to the company. A few persons also talk about the HR department, which seems to be correlated with a decrease in grade.
