The app Resy can be used to book a table at top restaurants in 80 cities worldwide. But according to reviewers at Google Play, the app is both slow and buggy. We wanted to learn more about the user experience of this app so we decided to analyze customer reviews about Resy.

What do users think about the app?

Users think the app is slow. The topic β€œslow” is mentioned in 7% of the reviews and it has an average grade of 2,02 / 5, which is lower than the overall average. For example, people talk about how slow it is to search for restaurants and use map navigation. The topic peaked in occurrence during 2018.

It looks like the company managed to improve some of the bugs in the app. Although the topic β€œbuggy” still occurs in some reviews, it has been talked about less and less during the last three years. When users are talking about the bugs, one thing they mention is that the app freezes.

People have been talking more frequently about how simple and easy to use the app is. Looking at the topic β€œsimple”, it has an average grade of 4,69 and it has increased in occurrence since 2017. Hopefully, this is an indicator that the user experience is getting better. However, the company probably need to find a way to speed up its app if they want to improve their reputation.
