Analysis of Miraflores reviews shows that tourism might be threatened by traffic

Miraflores is an exclusive residential district of the Lima Province in Peru. The district is known for its shopping but it is also a cultural center with theaters, cinemas, and beautiful parks. When we analyzed reviews about the Lima Province, we noticed that the parks were something the visitors appreciated the most. However, the visitors hated the traffic.

What do we base our findings on?

The topic “parks” is mentioned in 31% of the reviews and it seems to be a positive driver for the grade. The topic is mentioned with words such as
“beautiful” and “great”. Some reviewers mention it is an oasis in the otherwise unsafe and dirty city.
The topic “traffic” has a lower grade than the average of all topics: 4,23 / 5 compared to 4,47 / 5. It is often mentioned together with “crazy”, “terrible” and “noise” and it looks like the topic has increased in occurrence since 2016.

One thing people often talk about is the parks. The parks seem to be an appreciated break in the busy city. But is the general impression of the parks ruined by the surrounding traffic? The traffic in this city appears to be very busy. According to visitors, it is crazy and noisy and you have to be careful. It seems that this topic has increased in occurrence over the last five years, indicating the traffic has gotten worse. If allowed to increase without hindrance, how will this affect the tourists favorite part of their visit?
